How Much Does Photo Booth Hire Cost in Swansea?
· 5 min read

Photo booth hire in Swansea starts at £250 for two hours, and most people end up spending between £325 and £470 depending on how long they want it running and which booth they choose.
Here is the full breakdown, with no quote form in the way.

| 3 hours | £380 |
| 4 hours | £460 |
| 5 hours | £530 |
The Glam Booth costs more because of the lighting setup and the postcard-size prints — it is the black-and-white, soft-lit look rather than colour party strips.
What that price includes
Everything needed to run the booth. Specifically:
- Unlimited photos and instant prints, with a copy for everyone in the shot
- A custom photo strip design with your names, date and colours
- A professional DBS-checked attendant for the whole hire
- A standard backdrop and a full set of event props
- Delivery, setup and pack-down
- A custom start screen
Setup happens 60 to 90 minutes before your start time and is not counted in your hire hours. Your paid time begins when the booth opens to guests.
Longer packages add more: USB and an online gallery from three hours, a traditional guest book and your choice of attendant from four.
What is not included
Being straight about this matters more than the headline number.
Travel outside our usual area. Swansea, Cardiff, Bridgend, Neath, Port Talbot, Llanelli and the Vale are covered as standard. Further out, we will tell you the travel cost before you book — never after.
Premium backdrops and neon signs. A standard backdrop is included. Sequin, floral and specialist backdrops are add-ons. The backdrop page shows what is available.
Idle time, sometimes. If a venue needs the booth built hours before it opens — a room flip, a restricted access window — that is usually fine and usually free. For unusually long gaps we would discuss it in advance.
That is the whole list. There is no per-print charge, no setup fee, no attendant fee and no charge for the props.
Which length do people actually book?
Three hours is the most common, and for good reason. Two hours goes quickly once guests realise the booth is there — the queue builds in the first twenty minutes and you lose a chunk of your window to the rush.
Four hours suits weddings particularly well, because it covers the gap between the meal finishing and the dance floor emptying, and it includes the guest book.
Two hours works properly for shorter events with a clear window: a corporate drinks reception, a school event with a fixed finish.
Five hours is for events that genuinely run long. If your event finishes at eleven, five hours of booth is more than you need.
Why cheaper quotes exist
You will find cheaper photo booth hire in South Wales. It is worth understanding what usually differs.
No attendant. The single biggest cost in any booth hire is a person standing next to it for four hours. Drop-and-collect booths are cheaper because nobody is there when the paper runs out or the queue stalls.
Prints charged separately. A low headline price can mean unlimited sessions but only one print per group, with extra copies charged on the night.
Setup inside your hire time. If the booth arrives at your start time and takes 45 minutes to build, a three-hour booking is really two and a quarter.
Older equipment. Print quality varies far more than people expect, and you only find out afterwards.
None of that makes a cheaper supplier wrong — a drop-off booth at a casual party may be exactly right. It just means comparing headline prices alone will mislead you. The questions worth asking any supplier covers how to check.
Does booking early cost less?
No. Our prices do not rise as your date approaches, so there is no early-bird discount to chase.
What early booking does is fix your price — the rate agreed at booking is what you pay, even if prices change later — and get you the choice of booth, backdrop and date. On peak dates that choice disappears long before the price becomes the issue. More on booking timing.
Multiple events
If you are an event manager or agency placing several bookings across a season, the pricing works differently — block rates, consolidated invoicing and priority on dates. Details for event managers.
